One natural 6.21 ct blue cushion cut Ceylon sapphire, Type II, Medium dark, strong, blue color, GIA B 6/5, size 10.44 x 8.64 x 7.69 mm. GIA gemstone color grade B 6/5.

This museum-grade 6.21 ct natural sapphire from Sri Lanka in a modified brilliant cushion-cut sapphire with a perfectly rich blue color and a velvety, silky blue hue.

This rare color has made sapphires from Kashmir world famous for over 120 years. Its perfect blend of tone and saturation gives it this silky blue color. This natural mined sapphire has a GIA gemstone grade of B 6/5 with no secondary colors. It's rare to find any sapphire today with this perfect mix of tone and saturation, especially sapphires of this size. Over the years, we have been fortunate to have sourced just a handful of sapphires with this blue color, but to date, this is one of the largest sapphires we have had the pleasure of offering for sale.

This sapphire comes with a GIA laboratory report, and its origin is Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon. If you're looking at creating your own sapphire ring or custom necklace, this large cushion-cut sapphire would be an amazing stone to set and display.
