Beautiful vivid blue sapphire, this 1.25-carat oval cut sapphire carries a very strong level of saturation coupled with an excellent and consistent tone giving off this wonderful bright blue hue.

This color blue is what has made Ceylon sapphires world-famous over the past few hundred years, sapphires from Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon have become the most prized to own, almost all have a true blue hue with little to no secondary colors and have long been considered the finest sapphires in the world with the only exception of Kashmir sapphires which today can sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars for the perfect stone, sapphire deposit there been exhausted in Kashmir for over a hundred years when the last deposit of sapphires were mined in what today called the "Old Mine".
